2004 Roundup and how I feel about this blog
Topic: Moderation
Hello world. This is an update for 2004. I know the year isn't quite over, but I think it's time to analyze the year. First of all, I haven't looked at this in a while. And I was down on myself for not being further along on this list. I started living without letting myself lose track of my dreams and goals in my daily life, in worrying about affording to spend money or time or effort on my dreams and goals, or in being afraid or intimidated to try something. As a result, I did make changes in my life to try to go out and do what I want, and now I realize, some of the items should move from my dream list to my goal list because I can do them too. But there is a list of things that I am not that sure I want to do. Where do those go - dreams, goals, or maybe's? Like, I know I can do them, but do I really want to, or do I think it would be neat. So I think they'll be in "Thoughts". Just for clarity, the difference between a dream, a goal, and a thought: a goal is something that is in my control. If I don't get it done, it's my own damn fault and I'll be bummed about it. A dream is something that is clearly not in my control, but again, I'd be bummed if it doesn't happen. A thought is just something I think would be neat, but I can totally live with it not happening.

The purpose of this blog is to catalogue and keep track of my life dreams and goals. Dreams are things we wish for, that we can't really do anything about. Goals are within our reach and have little do do with chance. There's a catchup entry for both. Then I want to earmark when I add new ones and when old ones come off the list. I'm not going to mark ones that I was lucky to have happened a long time ago so I'm starting with now.
